I think the problem is the electorate, broadly, just was unhappy with costs and wanted any change to try to alleviate that problem and is willing to overlook anything else for a period of time until it becomes clear the change they wanted isn't working. And it just hasn't been enough time yet.

Dems should hold the price argument until the people are ready to receive it, and push corruption talk now, but I don't know what real difference it's going to make.
Unless egg/gas prices double or the market is cut in half, Dems have fully lost the economic messaging battle, and time spent on it is time not spent on "Musk and Trump are gutting the country" and showing examples.
Rs get cancer. Show NCI cuts.
Rs are on Medicaid. Show HHS cuts.
Rs are farmers. Show ag cuts.
Rs like flying. Show ATC cuts.
Rs like health. Show CDC cuts.
etc.
Most Rs like the idea of cuts generally, not specifically.
