When I want to feel hopeful, I remember I hold my political beliefs because progressive taxation, equality of all citizens, peaceful co-existence & anti-fascism are morally & logically superior to MAGA fascism. I think what we have to accept, and what is hard to accept, is that this is not a fight that will be won in 1-2 elections. It will take a long time. Authoritarianism is on the march in many countries—not just ours. It will take a lot of work to defeat it.

Rigidly authoritarian.
Stratified. Feudal. Little to no social mobility.
Extreme wealth inequality.
Collectively poorer, with shrinking GNP.
High unemployment.
Inflation.
Second-tier nation.

The totality of my activism is summed up below. I am hopeful that I can succeed in convincing about 1,000 others to shut out MAGAts from their lives absolutely. I do not see another way back. The scales on their eyes will remain and have to be aggressively removed; a few eyes may have to be gouged.

I'm feeling hopeful myself today, sensing a shift in momentum. People, MAGA people even, are getting pissed off and are not afraid to show it.

Constituent pressure on the GOP in Congress could be the game changer we needed, strengthening their spines and forcing them into action against Trump/Musk
