Actually, displaced wealthy people will be disruptive to the rest of society in ways different from other, non-wealthy climate crises refugees.

My entire town is under mandatory evacuation. How are people expected to pay for hotels, etc. when this stuff is happening? Perhaps the time has come to expropriate oil company wealth, given that they’re primarily responsible for all of these problems.

Urgent mitigation requires an urgent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to zero THIS YEAR.

Unless we want to all experience a total collapse into anarchy we need to act urgently to preserve the climate we have from getting any worse.
