I’ve been loving the idea of rejecting the Oedipal ideas of our formative years and the significance of our parents and trauma in identity. Instead having this idea of “becoming” and of a fluidity to identity. We are always becoming. We are always changing. We live, we desire, we pursue, we grow.

What i like to do is to not use victimizing language. When i talk about person who's been hurt, i talk about a failed parent, not a neglected child. The child is just a child, the parent is the problem. When talking about any other form abuse.. stigmatize the abuser not the abused.

I also like the things you suggest.. you're not a person permanently marked by hurt just like you're not a person permanently shaped by your upbringing.. You can be who you really are, the only thing you have to lose is your chains..
