I was never a cable news watcher. A few years ago I started and it was just in the background when I was home. About a year ago everything changed, they started acting like 47 was normal and Biden was a problem. It was striking. After the Biden debate, no fact checking of 47 I just couldn’t anymore
💙💙I stopped all news stations including my crappy local station when @POTUS had the first debate. The media then did a number on POTUS, remember? They ALL deserve to tank, LOL!!
Nobody cares about "Fox light". People seem to want full throated left or right. Also the large trend toward streaming, podcasts, twitch, YouTube, etc. MSM is so irrelevant.
Lawrence O'Donnell remains outstanding. Rachel Maddow is also honest and diligent. I have no need for most of them, but some MSNBC hosts will help us in the years ahead.
I stopped watching CNN and unfollowed them on all social media when they decided to give Trump a platform and interviewed him. They pretended it was to be fair and balanced but as he’s not, it was just about ratings.
I’ll watch The Weekend and The Reid Out and that’s it. Only bc I love Symone Sanders Townsend and @joyannreid.bsky.social but banning all other MSNBC shows.
Sticking with #StephanieRhule but wish she was still on in the morning because of her financial insights and expertise. Simone is #1 badass of #MSNBC I want Mika minus Joe ASAP
Yep...and how bout this? Them malls/shopping center parking lots are packed shopping for Holiday shopping!! Umm, but I thought folks didn't have money for food, gas, or utilities, right? SMMFH.
That’s what happens when you play both sides of the fence. Say what you want about fox and trust me, I have a lot to say about them. They stay true to who they were… assholes till the very end.
I still listen to the day after podcasts of Chris Hayes, Lawrence, Nicole Wallace and Rachel Maddow. I do find them to be helpful in understanding what’s going on and it helps me to feel some hope.
Unfortunately looks like many have migrated to the right wing broadcasters perpetuating simple minded propaganda indoctrinating even more suckers much like DERELICT Garland's failure! Leaving a vacuum for russian/cristo-fascists operatives
CNN is having some kind of identity crisis. Once they fired Don Lemmon and stopped anchors from saying “the big lie” we knew they were turning into Fox. 🙈
I still have hope for most of msnbc.
My concern about this is let’s say they have to get viewers somewhere, so they go deeper down the MAGA-hole. Now there’s even more propaganda and more voters turn red. 🤦🏻♀️ Vicious cycle.
Who is that woman moderator and jerk of a talking head on that one CNN show? Just awful. I just feel sorry for Jim Acosta
You know who else is bad? Cuomo on newsnation he sure jumped ship too
They have to change from the top down. CNN went to shit when Tapper put his smart guy glasses on, and MSNBC can’t find a former Republican they wouldn’t hire. I have no issue with ex-GOP, but I also don’t need to only hear from Steele, Wallace, and Jolly.
It’s less about cutting g ties with mainstream media and more about self preservation. I was watching every waking hour from July 21 - November 5 because there was hope. Now I’m not watching because my
mental health can’t take the nightmare play by play of the destruction of democracy
I only watch Rachel Maddow now. I'm not sure where to get news from because we do still need places that follow journalistic standards.
PBS News hour, NBC with Lester Holt, CBS evening news, and maybe NewsNation.
Nice. Long time CNN viewer until they went off the deep end with both siderism. After they pushed Biden being too old and giving trump a pass, they are banned in my house.
That's great news.
I boycotted them during the election and continue to shut off all MSM. They did that to themselves and now we are all paying the price for their greed, misleading "news" and dishonesty.
Because there isn’t a single person at either network with an ounce of journalistic integrity, or anything resembling a backbone. I miss the trustworthy news people we grew up with, like Walter Cronkite, Barbara Walters and Lloyd Robertson.
I turned the TV off the day before the election. I guess it’s like quitting smoking, or going on a diet, but does get easier every day. The only person I truly miss is Lawrence O’Donnell…
Yup.. agree.. Rachael also.. that’s it and then maybe cause.. I don’t want to support anything on MSNBC and CNN always sucked so never watched. All these anchors just piss me off..
Absolutely they did. "Both-sidesing" is not journalism. It's presenting as truth things that you know are lies & treason & deliberately giving it credibility.
#MSMisPartOfTheCoup!
Mmm. No. Not for me. I’m not watching either, but it’s more out of a sense of mourning. I’ll go back to them…selectively. We need them. We need to have a free press. They’re flawed, they’re as close as we can get to a free press these days.
They slid that slimy slug out of his shell to spice up the ratings in 2016, & then dusted him off for another ratings bonanza with Trump 2.0, destroying democracy in the process. I hope the media mogels' stock plummets...the price they'll pay for their greed.
I started weening myself off of MSNBC after they started their Biden bashing in July. Then I only watched Lawrence and Rachel. Now it’s been two weeks since I’ve watched any of them.
On MSNBC, I like Joy Reid, Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow, and Lawrence O'Donnell. MSNBC has its problems, but if it's gone, TV will be even more dominated by right-wing media, which is a terrible outcome!
There were some serious journalists who warned us, but they were pushed aside in the name of both-sidesing and selling the entertainment value of a "close race".
I think Stephanie is great, however by her time slot I've heard everything new.
As for Alex, I find it's a presentation style. She takes too long in her set up questions for the guests, I want more time for the experts.
100% agree with this! We stopped watching CNN a few years ago, but we now definitely stopped watching MSNBC & even the local news. I’m tired of all their lies & how much they will talk about Trump because they want the ratings.
Repulsion at the election outcome and at any reports that mention Trump, show his image or, worse, play videos of him speaking is likely the reason for the ratings. It’s not that the quality of the work is being criticized. We just can’t stand it any more.
Personally, I don't understand the hate for MSNBC over all. And I can't imagine there is that level of hate, as they are the only Media that actually doesn't spend all their time normalising Trump and many speak strongly against his actions. Like you, I think people are exhausted and need a break.
I agree. I also think we are going to need the media during the next four years. A big reason we even knew half of what trump was up to in his first term was because of great journalism and we are going to need that again. When I am ready to start watching I’ll watch MSNBC.

They deserve every bit of this.

Lying and expect us to listen. We are not maga. We read and use other sources for information.
I don’t listen, watch or read anything mentions him .
