Latest read (audio), I Am a Cat (1905-06) by Soseki Natsume; I am a Cat begins with playfulness and charm and becomes increasingly more philosophical and concerned with its social arguments. Always good but oddly negative in its last sections, as if Natsume wanted to undo its earlier reception.
