I have spent a lot of time with the US-UK extradition treaty over the past few years (thanks, Julian!) and it's important to remember that it is unbalanced - easier to extradite UK to US than US to UK. And that's before you get to the current political dispensation.

Yes, I was thinking of our extradition arrangements with the US as well; however, they have always seemed to me to be one-sided, with the US unlikely to cooperate, so I doubt whether we would have any success.
