Please, please, please! Costco don’t leave us in our hour of need. Great Pyrenees, Collie/Great Pyrenees rescue puppy eating her weight in dog food, and the Cairn terrier all have allergies but do great on Costco’s salmon dog food. Anything comparable is double the price.

Remember: Incorporating boycotts into your daily life is often easier than you think. Just because something isn't a big name brand, doesn't mean its quality is less.

If you have a Kroger's store near you, for instance, Kroger brands are often pretty cheap. And they're Pro-DEI policy.

I hear you and this is valid. I think we should criticize it. But I also think "there are more pressing matters currently" and that defunding corporations actively partcipating in the culling of DEI programs is probably more important right now.

I think we can address both. By not putting pressure on Kroger we are normalizing what they did and letting other grocers know that it is ok to raise prices. Some folks can afford paying more, while others have to opt for less. I felt it when prices went up, still do.

My only rule for this stuff is to provide me alternatives and I will happily share it. But I do stand by "priority of urgency".

For me personally, Kroger is my only real alternative as others are too far, so I can't personally do that but I can share it for those who can. More options = better.

I’ve been boycotting many businesses for years including our local Kroger owned chains due to union busting and destroying food rather than donating etc so like I don’t have many places to shop any longer but I am privileged to be able to drive long distance for groceries. Things to think about

Same. I've actually never had an Amazon Prime sub I paid for. Only ever used free trials. Walmart's the only one I've seen folks with lower incomes having trouble dropping & I hope they know we don't hold that against em. But if at all possible, everyone should take a bit extra time & look around

I'm loving Costco and actually finding it cheaper than Walmart. I am low income. I can use EBT at Costco. And their Kirkland brand food is amazing. The frozen lasagna has been my fave so far 🤤 I also love their premade food. Their chicken legs are super cheap too.

Oh yeah! I shop dollar stores a lot too. Same brands, super cheap. I've also found some tasty off-brand stuff there too.

I dislike Amazon for that reason. You can actually use Costco for shipping, and a year is cheaper than a year of Amazon Prime. Costco also kept their DEI policies.
