it's incredibly interesting seeing the process at ground-level. like you mentioned, productions based on the development of a game almost always focus on the unlikely successes of a plucky band of brothers & how they did it. these stories are circulated and celebrated (with good reason), but-

- comparatively, we never hear about what happens to canceled games. at least, not with the same amount of fanfare. it tends to just end with the developer stating the project's cancellation before the game falls into obscurity. we should be talking about this aspect of game development a lot more -
