I only look at Russian tanks in storage. 85% of Russian tank production is refurbished old tanks. CovertCabal on YouTube counts Russian tanks in storage by using satellite photos. On December 28, he said Russia had 3,345 tanks remaining in storage. Of those, I think 2,200 could be refurbished.
Ukraine has destroyed approximately 435 tanks in January and February so 2,200 - 435 =1,765 tanks remaining in storage for Russia. In the future, Russia could receive tanks from N. Korea or other countries. N. Korea has around 1,000 T-62 tanks so maybe it provides some to Russia for refurbishment.
Ukraine reported an average of 8.9 tanks per day destroyed over the last 6 months. If you do the math and divide 1,765 tanks in storage by 8.9 tanks destroyed per day then Russia has around 198 days left before it runs out of tanks in storage so things will get difficult for Russia this summer/fall.
