Old school runescape players vilify other MMORPGs regardless of their merit. They refuse to look at Guild Wars 2 or WoW's model of multiple character slots (some even completely free) because they assume OSRS is the only MMO with any merit. It's not a healthy way to improve a game. - ThreadSky

I just wish our membership was for "concurrent logins" so I could choose which character I felt like playing on my jagex account instead of it being attached to a specific character. I'd pay like $20 a month for 2 concurrent logins

I think the real problem with Runescape is that the owners clearly want more money out of it and offering multiple characters for one price would actively decrease the amount of money they make on membership. I miss having multi character accounts from other MMOs I just don't see it happening here.

As someone who has played OSRS, WoW and FF14 to a large extend, in addition to many other smaller MMOs. All communities talk down on other games, a player base has a vested interest in making sure their game stays relevant. This isn't something unique to OSRS.

I'd be fine with additional character slots in OSRS (despite the fact I only play a main) as long as the additional price is a fraction of existing. Asking for more per additional is frankly delusional 😅.
