But that type of reaction probably isn't the best way to de-escalate.
The good: even the MAGA folk were worried and called out to warn me. I didn't realize it was intentional until people told me about the aftermath.
The good: I charmed him by offering him water. He told us he was surprised by how peaceful we were being. No one was lighting any Teslas on fire or anything. He started a USA chant and BOTH SIDES joined in. It really was so beautiful.
