putting males in female prisons can also injure female inmates

Providing gender-affirming care, including surgery, to prisoners was not a plank in the Democratic platform. It was the law. It was the law under Trump as well.

i don't hate trans people. they have every right under the protection by our constitution to exist and prosper
the left created this crisis when males competed in female sports and parents were denied their rights
i work with 2 trans people and they are not being discriminated
it's a wedge issue

We should be able to do both. I'm a lifelong Dem voter & trump was never an acceptable solution. I wish Dems had taken women's concerns about this kind of thing seriously and developed solutions to address concerns of female prisoners AND vulnerable male prisoners. Instead we have chaos and cruelty.
