I know it is a common expectation of today’s consumer society, eating the cake and still having it or taking the shortcut and still getting the reward!
Good news, formats evolve in time through the market expectations.
But for the books not written to be listened? Please no! Reading is an active form of consumption, while listening is a passive form that can not match the experience.
And people who listen books should feel confident and secure about saying, “I didn’t read the book, but listened it.” If you’re consuming a book by listening, why rely on another word (reading) to describe it 🤷‍♂️
