Watching BBC news. Weeping. Twenty five years ago i gave (Baroness) Margaret Jay a tour of one of England’s first Step Down units; an adapted council care home, for old folk who couldn’t go home yet (broken wrists, under weight etc) but who didn’t need to be in hospital.
