The NCAA has always hated Title IX. Keep in mind, Title IX became law in 1972, but the NCAA never did anything with it until the DOJ started enforcing it in the very late 1980's and early 1990's.
Looking forward to that inspirational NCAA ad during March Madness showing things like women’s swimming and lacrosse and not mentioning that all those sports will be cut next year.
That’s a desirable outcome to the suits up in the NCAA offices. They’re hoping all that regulation comes crashing down and reset everything back to 1962.
The ADs, donor class, and conference commissioners will probably throw a party. I wonder how many schools will even sponsor a woman's sport afterwards? Basketball? Sad day.
I'm really holding my country in contempt right now.
