The treaty is "spent". The signatories were the sovereign states of England & Scotland. They ceased to exist as sovereign states on its implementation of such & the UK took over.
Why do you think the SNP lost 39 MPs earlier this year?
You have this the wrong way round. People need to be convinced of viability, which means demonstrating a route. No route means people stay at home.
That makes no sense in context to the conversation. How does saying that persuade a neutral?
