Excellent news! I read this last year (following a recommendation by one of your authors). The only other Irish novel I've read in translation to date is An Béal Bocht/The Poor Mouth by Flann O'Brien, a bleak comic masterpiece. I loved i am lewy just as much.

Haven’t you read Máirtín Ó Cadhain’s Cré na Cille? Translated twice, as The Dirty Dust and Graveyard Clay, both published by Yale. Right up your alley!

Great choice. Another superb book in Irish is Madame Lazare by @tadhgmacdh.bsky.social . My Irish is very weak but it's so compelling that I forgot my limitations, in order to finish it. Has been translated, but not into English.
