The movement was direct and confident, not something I see from our 'first' team. These guys can help the team get results with our injuries, giving others a week's rest when they need it.
Over the moon for the kids, especially Ajayi who hasn't played a minute before tonight but has traveled with us for most of the EL campaign. You can't ask for a better feel good factor around a club than having academy players single handedly win a match for you. This is what football is all about β₯οΈ
Yes Micky, perhaps admin may decide to celebrate your performance and goal on this platform at some point!! 3 young players showed what they can do tonight and long may it continue!! PL2 champions should be able to progress into the 1st team!!
One could argue that is was Ange not backing the kids, but it was wonderful that 3 scored. Hopefully in the future, he will hand them more minutes. #COYS
I donβt totally disagree & I understand that the close scores in games & need for results has been a deterrent. Still, it was 0-0 against Elfsborg when Dane came & look what happened.
He did come on against a tired side that doesn't truly have match fitness ... Spurs had controlled every second of the game. Props to him for taking advantage, but he did not turn the game around.
Perhaps & even in this circumstance, it was probably the confluence of Radu's injury, lack of CB cover (Gray notwithstanding) & needing an offensive jolt that brought Dane on. Ange rolled the dice & came up 7. So, in the future, might he roll them again, even in the PL? Perhaps yes. #COYS
