There's plenty I don't agree with the government on, such as inflicting more austerity. But they are right about this.

Also it doesn't address the inequalities causing populations to be overrepresented in the criminal justice system in the first place.
That said, I doubt the govt will actually make the changes needed...
But this article is mainly a critique of Jenrick's proposals, which the govt has rejected - surely this suggests the govt wants to avert these problems?
