I know I’m not all-knowing or what-not, but for those in the U.S. seeing this: The military targets won’t stop at those being restless. It is an excuse to sweep up everyone deemed an enemy to the administration. It’s a totalitarian move, not just a fascistic one. People will be tortured and die.

Please create safety plans, and have a location in place to go to hide and be away from the disorder that might ensue. Work in coalition with others to create a workable place to bunker down and survive in some degree of isolation, should this come to pass and until it is over.

Blues in red states should be more active in attempting to secure a safety plan. While most of the violence and pushback would likely fall at the border of blue states, people pushing back in red ones will be swept up more quickly because they don’t make noise.

Adding to preemptively counter questions: I don’t see any great conspiracy or mastermind ops in this. On my view, his intellectual deficit and psychopathy disallow for that. My guess is he’s not thinking to himself, “I will do A, then B will follow, at which point I will do C to get me to my goal D”

I don’t think he has that ability. He’s more likely thinking, “I’ll do A, because it hurts my enemies/benefits me, and any resistance will give me a reason to do B, which I’d find enjoyable,” where B is cruelty, and overall without regard for consequences.

The issue lies in that the military is charged with following all lawful orders, and the insurrection act makes it a lawful order. The military is so religiously devout to its command structure that flouting orders to follow a command is equal to or worse than following an unlawful order.

And then you add that roughly ~49.8% of them are devout to Trumpism, and it is unlikely to make any impact. The best you can hope for in that scenario is that the military itself fractures, but what would follow that would be war.

I agree with all of this. I think this is where he’s heading. He wants to deploy the military to have total control. Safety and a plan of action is key. It’s scary to think about but when you’re faced with it, you will need something to fall back on, and if you wait too long, it will be chaos.

I worry about my kids, they are in a blue state. I worry about our food supply. I think that’s the big one. I’m a VTer I’m used to being independent and dealing with harsh conditions. I have a lot of skills for feeding myself and storing food. And I would rather ask for forgiveness than permission.
