Yes, and portraying working class people in the context in which they exist is also politcal. Almost like my original point of there being no non-political art is correct or something.

See now u bring up context so that blows you no non-politcal statement up. If the its made to be political then yes it is then political, but if it's just a portrait like I said 1 of me and 1 of kamala we both just felt we really looked good so we both got portraits done to capture it.
All art is contextual and all art is subjective. That’s kind of the whole point. As to your example, Kamala Harris can afford to commission a portrait of herself on a whim while you likely could not, and while some people cannot afford groceries. Do you not understand what is political about that?
Wrong not all art is contextual you have Non-Objective art whixh abstract art and Nonrepresentational art: Mondrian's Tableau I whixh both fall under non-contextual art
