Today I discovered the MAX9850 DAC + headphone amp and I'm quite liking it design-wise - it has just enough GPIO for most of my audio designs compared to some of the Texas Instruments line of DACs I've tried before, where I ended up unused inputs or 2-3x the outputs I needed.
