You've already shown what Astarion looks like in your style (love those BG3 comics by the way), so the difference is obvious to anyone who bothers to think for a moment.
I think a lot of people don't mistake them, people just want to see Astarion in other people's characters too. Although, come on, you guys already have tons of art with him!
Ah yes, the "vampire with white hair (even if it's just a streak) = Astarion" assumption. What do people these days call it? Manifesting? I've always used that word from a paranormal perspective.
Either way, LEAVE THE POOR BOY LUCIAN ALONE! HE'S NOT ANGRY!!! I think-
Sometimes I think who raised that people? Do they grew up in a cave and noone taught them etiquette? Sometimes I see picture and think "Oh that reminds me my OC! Imagine Julian like that, wow"
But goddess, I'm thinking it quietly and compliment the art and the character not dumping my thought there
Iβm sorry youβre getting that a lot! If people do it to me I send them this comic & if they react poorly they get a block. Most of them donβt realize the amount of morale they are damaging unfortunately
Great comic that describes it well! When people write to me something like "your art gives me medieval illustration vibes" or "Kells vibes" or etc - I really like it! But...
(btw, what a beautiful art! π)
I guess my brain got hung up on thinking "like z character" = "is z character", my apologies. You're right. But still, it does kind of makes my brain itch. Is it supposed to be a compliment "your character is like z"?
At first I had the impression they looked a bit alike, then after reading your comics / arts and played the game it is clear they are very different characters π

You have every right to slam the block-hammer.
