Right in the bottom line of the app is a "Message" box, that's where you type posts. Discord encourages short posts, and supports lots of emoji responses that are tacked to the bottom of the post you are responding to ... not just "heart" or "thumb up", but fire, hang loose, fingers crossed, etc.
