It could be an oversight. If it was native app it could features to adapt to different size classes and ensure it still support good usability for all sizes. React Native may not have replicated those features but someone still included iPad when it was listed in the App Store. - ThreadSky

Anyway, I still prefer BlueSky in Safari on iPad than Twitter with dedicated app 🙂

I read it is all the same code base which makes sense to keep features in sync across Web, iOS and Android. Perhaps @dimillian.app will have a SwiftUI app out soon.

It would be great if there were something like OpenAPI Generator for native views to speed up development.

Competing priorities is what I expected. If the Web version can work with larger dimensions I’m curious why they don’t just enable it for iPad. I suppose they would have to dedicate time to testing.

To be fair it can be tricky getting an iPad version to look properly in all of the available sizes. From the tiny slide over version to split view to full screen. And with larger text from accessibility text sizes. Every time I think that I’m good with my iPad version I find something I missed. 😆
