from my experience the more annoying end of religious people are like "prove there isnt a god π€" so i dont think they actually hate this phrase π
Honestly, being religious to me has very little to do with whether or not God is real. I go to services and read writings and scripture because I find it personally significant, not really because I think God is watching me. Obviously, not everyone believes or doesn't believe that way, and that's ok
The reason I stayed Christian while being trans is that I am less concerned with issues like "are there angels watching me" and more concerned with "how do I help people in need and find community". I wish more Christians lived focused on community and on helping the hungry, sick and poor.
Depends on what the faith is in. I am an atheist, but I have faith in myself.
Anybody having faith that there is a superior being (any of the 3,000 humankind came up with so far) is delusional.

Theyβve drunk too much of the cool aid
What they hate is "prove it using secular sources".
That's where shit falls apart for them.

Its non-secular people who typically fall back on "Its not my fucking job to teach you"
