In the intervening years, what has become abundantly clear, is that the problem with capitalism is that the greed of the wealthy can never be satisfied & it's the poor who must pay for it.

Socialism is a process by which economy is shared by all and is a check on the greed and inherent power of money.
Both are processes by which a democratic society continues to get better.
