This House plan to keep the government open includes major cuts to healthcare, environmental programs, and more. This is not the "clean CR" they've been trying to sell to the American people.

It's a good thing Democrats didn't agree to anything until they saw the budget.
Democrats need to default to "no" to everything for the next four years. Republicans can NOT be trusted.
They're counting on people not keeping track of the information since it's harder with only words
Republicans
- collaboration w/ (White House/Trump)
- claim increase in VA health benefits + WIC
- BUT non-defense funding drops $13 B from 2024
-> requires cuts to popular programs (other articles)
Defense
- say they're increasing defense spending from 2023
- BUT less than previously agreed amounts for 2025
- also have more discretion (meaning less oversight)
IRS
- want to rescind IRS funding (harder for tax collection)
Republicans want to blame any shutdown on Democrats
- but they have the majorities so they've got enough people
- cannot afford defections
- if people around the country can get a few Republican Reps to vote no - CR is killed
- BUT this will require massive pressure.
Democrats should not vote for this. Republicans don't have the courage to vote against this. They are afraid of Trump. So let them vote to hurt the voters.
Republicans are depending on the ignorance and lack of curiosity of the average voter. People need to research what it means to operate on the previous year’s budget. It’s additional opportunities for the Muskrats to make further cuts while using the money for Republicans priorities.
