Nothing grows at 45F. Not sure about your growing seasons but here in the mid-Atlantic, harvest was MONTHS ago.

My friends are like “we can’t grow vegetables here because only six months of Not Snow,” although their Canadian friend is used to worse and managed to grow tomatoes so YMMV. In Oz we’re far too used to being able to stick a seed in the ground and water it now and the. And bingo it grows
