That's because everything cycles back around. 60s fashion was just a recycle of 20s Flappers (with the boxy shaped dresses, pixie cuts, and desire for androgyny). This became cool again in the 2000s.

The 90s celebrated the 70s a lot and bell bottoms were real big.
