But I would say, Luka is a lot younger, and injury problems tend not to get better as you reach middle age for an athlete, like AD.

Yeah, I was actually gonna follow up on my comment by mentioning that A.D. is far more injury prone than Luka and not nearly as consistent when he plays. The Lakers made out like bandits on this. They only had to give up one first round pick in 2029. I’m thinking this is to replace LeBron.

Not immediately, but LeBron’s only got another year maybe two and Luka would be a good fit for them without having to rely on draft picks.
