Fun Fact: If I ever gift a copy of One Hundred Years of Solitude it’s my way of expressing respect and admiration for the individual I’ve bestowed it upon. I hope to learn what magic they found hiding in its pages.
Either you like magical realism and its quirks, or you’re a linear thinker and it doesn’t resonate. I can respect that, but I’m also saddened that those who don’t will never experience word play where magic is mundane and the mundane is magical.
One Hundred Years of Solitude is a journey that I feel illustrates life. It’s confusing, punctuated by remarkable moments, absurd situations, & so many people. We observers are caught up in the events, but at the end, nothing matters, the joy was the process that brought us to the conclusion. Life
