I don’t get how ppl are so averse to the idea that maybe the way ppl look at these games and matchmaking is a little flawed and could stand to be better. There are no discord fighters, I agree
i didn't even quite say all that, I said that it takes a type of effort and vetting for smaller games that there really are no convenient lanes for, but I also said that arcades still do it every day
Yeah. I’ve learned a lot of ppl look for the absolute worst interpretation of anything being said sometimes, regardless of any of the substance or effort put in to avoid that happening
It’s true, every FG requires this at a point if you ever want to engage with any sort of community. Whether it’s discord or irl, it takes that kind of effort to squeeze out the stuff we value as meaningful at least
The video that sorta got me down this line of thinking was when max was talking about entering the fgc in this vid. Shares a lot of the same points I preach. https://youtu.be/mD2lFgy-q48?si=NxyBAwtHS1BT7eHt
I think there should be alot more people who play their game for the love of the game.
+R for example at most has around 100 people who play but the first thought shouldn't be "Oh this game only has 100 players I'm never gonna find a match" it should be "cool I got 100 people to play with 😎"
