This is an existential threat to Bluesky and everything we're doing on this site. I can't do much from my own state of Michigan except signal boost. This must be stopped.
This bill is worded in plain language to encompass ANY artistic or written work containing sexual content. Yes, it WOULD make it possible to sit down and write or draw something that would land you in jail for having done so.
It criminalizes mere POSSESSION of pornography, whether you post it online or not, whether you show it to other people or not, you're not allowed to even HAVE it.
I cannot stress enough how diabolical this bill is. By piggybacking off of a child pornography law, it makes creating artistic nudity or erotic fanfic subject to the SAME PUNISHMENT as child abuse. Same sex offenders registry. There's nothing godly about it. It's the work of the devil.
