Personally I’m a pretty big fan of the game encouraging you to run tankier IDs and use more healing egos.

However I do think they could tone it down a little bit with the unbreakable coins, they should be there but only a pinch.

I think they're a really rad new mechanic. Yes, they can get a bit annoying and certainly the final boss could do with less of that, but overall they made me really think and read my opponent's skills, rather than hitting win rate.

I ran a rupture team with four sinners purely in support roles (so only 1 or 2 replacements max, and originally only for Devyat Rodya gimmick). It's entirely possible to avoid any deaths, though I was glad for the chain system when I messed up in the final battle. Healing egos are clutch, though.

A big part of the Canto is kind of "how well do you tank damage/how well can you reduce coin power", and to that I say: Deici Rodya, Mersault's Chains, Heath's Binds, and Faust's Fluid Sac are youf riends.

Faust with Fluid Sac is basically your Turn 2 play. Turn 1, get your SP up, then Fluid Sac to get *everyone* a boost. From there, just farm resources into Chains, Binds, and Fluid Sac. Let Rodya take damage from unclashables.

The big disadvantage of Chains is that it leaves a character on lowest speed, so chances are unless the enemy specifically targets them, they'll leave you with damage you have to take. Thankfully Rodya can usually tank it while your team wipes the board.

Ultimately, I think there's any number of ways to run the final dungeon but I liked a "greatest hits" ensemble team with a focus on what I've described above. EGO resources and good EGO use are always the key and remove a huge amount of the RNG from these battles.

Anyway, my girlfriend and I are gonna experience the final battle and story together, so I'm waiting on that. I fully expect it to end on a peak note, given how damned strong it's been already.

I agree with this sentiment. However Woe be upon thee for I have evade coins and run less then 12 sinners.
