I don't think Turkish zealotry would reach the levels of Sunni Taliban Buddha destroying fervor or the ISIS Babylon-destruction spree. Turkish have been relatively moderate compared to other regions historically. Hopefully the trend continues.

That was absolutely horrible when the taliban blew up the Buddha, but it wasn't the first time something like that happened. Turkey has suffered greatly and to deny that is wrong also.
