My corner of Seattle still has an AT&T long lines tower. It's a prominent local landmark but I suspect most folks have no idea why it's there. One of the horns is still in use, which is very rare. #seattle #longlines

The round horn antenna on the right hand side of the 2nd level from the top is still active, providing service to Blyn, WA. You can tell someone cares about it because the pressure seal on front is clean. The surrounding rectangular horns are presumably not being used, dirty, may not hold pressure.
It's Qwest so, the phone company... I don't know enough about modern telecomm infrastructure to know what that entails, but those ISPs and cell towers need to get service from somewhere...
There's a current license for point to point microwave service out to Blyn on the Olympic Peninsula. IIRC it's operated by Qwest so I presume it's providing telecom/data service out there. The antenna is very very old so I suspect it's a link that was established during the long lines era.
The Blyn side looks more modern in terms of infrastructure. Not sure if it was replaced or just built more recently and to a more modern standard. The Queen Anne tower was finished around 1962. I suspect none of the wireless equipment in the CO below is original, just the antenna/waveguide feed.
