I can independently confirm Wired's reporting here, as I was working with @marisakabas.bsky.social to track down this engineer. Marisa heard that Nikhil Rajpal was given full access to the NOAA system with a NOAA email from sources today.

much like morals. They prefer to make up their own facts to support their agenda. Global warming isn’t real for example so they can encourage the use of fossil fuels.
