I loved the different creatures in the game and the power trip that is the ring of lucii😂.I adored all of the characters because they felt like true companions to me,and also the story made me care about them truly(especially Ignis😭).Though I believe that I wasn't able to enjoy the deeper story then - ThreadSky

I haven’t played XV since it originally launched in 2016 but I remember feeling the same way about the characters, they do a great job making the party feel cohesive. I’ve heard Royal Edition really improves on a lot of the story beats and such, so I’m curious to check that out at some point.

Oh you should definetly replay it! Since then they have added 4 new DLCs and it really improves the experience and they also changed up the end dungeon as well (the city). The gameplay is a bit outdated ofc but it's still really enjoyable!

Yeah, I honestly think getting to explore Insomnia is the biggest draw for me. I was so disappointed when the vanilla edition of the game cut out most of that section considering it was such a big part of the promotion and the “modern fantasy” vibe.

To be completely honest while it is better in the royal edition it is still lacking in that department, but it is better, also there are some new story mini bosses that make it REALLY worth it! Also I completely agree the original Insomnia was a bit... empty

Yeah, I think anything more than what we got in the original release will feel like an improvement. I followed XV from the moment it was announced (vsXIII) and so much of my hype was literally just getting to play the one segment of the story they completely cut out lmao

Oooof I can imagine that was quite the disappointment, I really hope vsXIII will one day return in some shape or form.
