cancel your subscription anyway. That shitshow reporting of the shitstream media is not close to the only misinformation their shoveling at Americans to favor trump
MSNBC has never said it was a landslide. At least, not Nicole Wallace, Joy Reid, Chris Hayes, Alex Wagner, Lawrence O’Donnell, Rachel Maddow…. 🤷♀️
I see finger pointing, but when I fact check those fingers, I can’t find anything about the accusations; everyone just believes what they are told. 🤦♀️
You have to remember a lot of these people subscribe to the alternative facts reality. You cannot fix stupid so don't even try to make any effort. Sooner or later they'll realize what their vote did not do for them in the long run.
Yep- I've heard 'thank god for trump' too many times from members of my own family to believe they will ever realize it. Whatever happens will be chalked up to god's will or some such other nonsense that allows them to abdicate responsibility for their role.
I’ll believe he won when I see a recount or forensic investigation. Why didn’t Harris fight for this? Kamala and Tim said they were going to fight for us - so why aren’t they?
The mainstream media doesn't make its money by telling the truth anymore. They are more like sideshow barkers with a two-headed cow and an alligator boy for you to scream over. They are all in a race to the bottom.
2%. 3%. 8%. Who cares. He won and will be the next president. That's the simple answer to this issue. All the media is going to report that when it happens.
I believe this is a very important point being made. Trump did not have an overwhelming win, he does not have the 'mandate' that he says he has. And the only place MAGA will hear this is mainstream media....they need to report the real numbers.
And as a resident of FL at the time, I remember coming home and being frustrated by the ballots. Then news came on about the hanging Chad controversy. I'll never know if my ballot got counted towards the correct candidate.
The Truth
There are 244 million eligible voters in the US
1/3 voted for Harris and another 1/3 for tRump
tRump margin was 2.5 million votes
1.02% of eligible voters
Not a "landslide"
Not a "crushing victory"
Not a "mandate"
One of the closest presidential races ever
I haven't watched the NewsHour since Amna Nawaz said "most of the country" voted for trump. At 49.9% of a ~64% turnout, it's not quite 1/3 of the country that voted for trump.
I don't hear any media talking about a Trump landslide (well maybe Fox and Newsmax). What they are talking about is Trump controlling all branches of gov't for at least the next two years.
Election is rigged if Trump loses then it's rigged if he wins. Doesn't work both ways. The enthusiasm, the turnout and the votes do not match up. Something's amiss and we all know it.
Comments
We don't vote for the president by a popularity vote.
I'd say 86 is a landslide 16% more.
Until we stop having land vote for president, we have to think this way. It's not nor has it ever been a popular vote for president.
And no, T* did not win in a landslide, nor does he have any sort of mandate to do the idiotic things he promised during his campaign.

I am not suggesting anyone give up these things.
I know I am not even a drop in their yuge buckets.
I am voting (continuously) with my feet.

I'm hoping it'll push for key state recounts though...
