(But yes, the cooperation between the Reds and the Gaullistes of the Résistance was just as temporary as the alliance of USSR with the Anglo-Americans; similarly elsewhere too.)
I do recall recently a dyeing ex-partisan made death-bed confession of a liberation-era liquidation of German prisoners, not wishing that horrible memory to die with him.
