Yes!! Haven’t consistently watched pro wrestling since the early 2000’s. Dipped in and out over the last couple of years (both WWE and AEW) since getting into the ‘Reliving the War’ series on YouTube, but looking forward to giving it a proper go now it’s on Netflix!!

I think wrestling was too fake to engage the disbelief, though I did watch as a kid. I can get into comics and super movies(which are soaps for guys) or even stuff like dragonball, but man acting/pacing sells it. Wrestling acting is very cringey to me.

Do you have to watch Smackdown as well, or are they like totally different shows? Used to love WWF in the early 90s but not watched in since. Been enjoying old PPV events on Netflix but wouldn't mind catching up with modern times. It seems a bit like starting reading Spider-Man at issue 638..!

They're completely different shows with unique rosters, so you could technically pick just one of them. Raw tends to have bigger characters while Smackdown tends to have better technical wrestlers. If you're getting back into it I'd recommend trying both for a while because they have different feels

It should also be noted that many of the big events (WrestleMania, Royal Rumble etc) will merge both brands so if you're only following one of them you might suddenly see a lot of wrestlers you don't recognise. I do recommend both if you have the time, otherwise Raw is more of a spectacle

Grew up with it, fell off a little in my teens, found it again in my twenties and I’m very drawn in by the accessibility of it being on Netflix again.
