They typically don’t leak them, they’ll go find leaks and WT has to take it down. Most of the time the classified information as been unsealed / declassified but the leak has giant “CLASSIFIED” watermarks on it which makes the headlines 😆
Look, I’m not saying 20something year olds playing War Thunder are the stupidest people when it comes to thinking about long term consequences vs. winning the argument, because freshman football players exist, but it’s a close race
yeah it's a video game for military hardware nerds, and multiple times people who work for the defense industry have leaked classified military hardware specifications to win forum arguments about which in-game items should be better.
It's so frequent that when a player asks the community team if they've seen Reddit lately, their response has been along the lines of, "Oh god. Again? What now? Fine. I'll check Reddit."
