The problem is its not free, we pay for it with taxes, but the state acts like its generously giving it to us and we should be thankful for getting treatment.
The rich ARE taking our consumables in the USA.
1 out of 10 U.S. citizens are "food insecure," meaning sometimes they don't have money for food.
People die from lack of medicine to treat chronic conditions.
We live in an oligarchy, which is what capitalism turns into.
america has oligarchs taking over the democratic governance too.
why is it even allowed for non-publicly elected officials to be a part of the govt btw? what is the reasoning here?
but the rich do eat up ur consumables. capitalism is basically allowing yourself to be governed by the ultra rich 1% of the population- which demographic most likely wont change in ur lifetime. u can do nothing abt it. the market isnt as free as we assume.
We won't get more consumables if we take the rich people's money. Even abolishing all "luxury" wares wouldn't give us x10 regular wares. As you mention, the rich's money means power, not commodities. The extra power of the ultra rich is a problem, but not large enough to be worth changing world.
capitalism's worse in long term dont u think? im not for socialism per se but social democracy works no? i thought sweden was great. yall rank great everywhere.rank 6 in corruption. you realise u live in one of worlds best places? nothings perfect but perhaps ur closer to perfect than most nations.
I've lived in the US for two years. People seemed happier, more autonomous. Sweden was pretty good 20 years ago, as were other non-socialist countries in Europe, but then we had a smart and homogenous population.
I get worse healthcare than our politicians and may get maltreated if the leftist staff learns of my views.
I, as many other Swedes, have a private medial insurance because our health services are unefficient and overloaded.
As an academic in empirical science, I feel talked up to, but it really annoys me when midwits try to whip low-wits with their word salads.
Better to tweak the capitalist system to provide cheaper insulin than to try to tweak socialism, a flawed fantasy contruct, to be more democratic.

IRA money isn’t going anywhere fast
Housing is still not built
Healthcare is more expensive, not less
Tuition costs continue to devastate

We don’t have government healthcare system to fix.
I can’t afford to go to the doctor. I don’t have sick days off work either. I just have to work anyways
Get your shit together, but don’t throw the baby out with the bath water
I'm a firm believer in decentralized, bottom- up democracy.
And you want more respectful treatment.
Ok.
My friend died because he ran out of insulin. Couldn't afford it.
That's what happens in a for-profit medical system.
