I feel like most things I watch or read about any creative industry is just "This sucks. Here's a breakdown of how fucked things are. Basically, we're fucked so don't bother"

What a waste of time and energy. At least TRY to put forward new ideas or showcase changes happening. Even if they're small

Appreciate the new and creative but not perfect things. If I see a new movie or game that has some actual thought and creative ideas behind it but the execution is off I don’t give up and shit myself. I like to see where these artists are going. Create to create. Flood the world with fun ideas.

Even beyond the bigger scope stuff, when you're on the receiving end of the criticism and everyone tells you about what's wrong but nobody offers why it might be wrong or how to fix it, at the very least you end up feeling like "I know what they hate but not what they want"

When I started, something I made was described as heavy-handed.
I'm ESL so I didn't know what that meant. I looked up what it meant but I still didn't know where I was being so or how.
And that's at the lowest scale of things, it's easy to imagine how things get when you extrapolate from there
