If I ever became a Lich, I'd made my Phylactery a granite candy dish and then put it in the goodwill somewhere out the way. it'll either stay there forgotten until the end of time. Or will get bought, passed around, sent back into the thrift ecosystem making it hard for adventurers to track it down
