Cause the character who originated from the time travel game arriving in a reference to a time travel movie definitely isn’t leading up to a time travel story
"i think sonic movie 3 is about time travel!" devolved into "i think sonic movie 4 is about time travel!" really quick. sonic movie 3 wasn't about time travel, and doesn't have any time travel in the movie at all, which means i was right
