I shared it a moment ago. Also saw recently an account of a traveller turned away because her route to the USA seem "suspicious" – she’d gone via Asia using one carrier as a way to get a cheaper flight.

I used to work on Okinawa and taking a low cost tourist flight to Seoul or Hong Kong or Taipei rather than go through Tokyo or Osaka can save time and money both sometimes…

I was forced by the pandemic. But flying east from Florida making a stop in Europe and then on to China turned out not too bad an option.

Honestly, more conferences SHOULD be getting moved here. We have many of the same companies set up here already. Our major cities have frequent flights, good transit, plenty of hotels and venues available. People also won't be needlessly detained at our border or refused entry over trivial shit.
