Following ACA's passage the American people became apathetic. One of the reasons Dems keep not doing enough (is because the American people keep not rewarding them for what they do). Whether it's ACA or inflation reduction act. American public: MEH, reward the obstructors!

They had overwhelming bipartisan support for single payer, and they voted it down, and after Trump we were so relieved to vote for the lesser of 2 evils which is apparently genocide and increased detentions.
